Discovering Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe was, and still is, an unparalleled pop culture flick in recent American history. Aside from Elvis, few other than her tarry such an influential figure fifty years by and by on their death. Some argue that her popularity was less due to her honor as an actress and more due to her reputation as a excite symbol. I used to think of Marilyn in this way, as do many people in todays society. but as I grew older, I found that she sincerely wasnt the person many assumed she was. My opinion of her changed dramatically, and what I intimate roughly Marilyn altered non simply my assumptions about versed activity uses, but also my self consciousness. My introductory result of Marilyn was that she was aught more than a famous actress with little go out for morals. This is possible because at the time, before I really knew who Marilyn was, I was a shy, self-conscious middle school student with only a few close friends. I had no archetype ideas about the world, and I still relied mainly on my farms opinions when asked for my own. I had a very narrow and throttle apparent horizon of the world. With all this in consideration, it is needless to maintain that when I was introduced to the icon that was Marilyn Monroe, I hardly approved of her. The conventional familys ken is generally conservative in a manner that stresses what is and is not acceptable to say, do, or wear. In that sense, Marilyn was a terrible role position; she may have had stylish hair, but she wore an unacceptably low amount of clothing. According to my parents, she was a perfect model of what not to do. They didnt resembling how she played the victim on screen, or the ditsy blonde who was hopelessly craving masculine worry and protection. She wore scandalous clothes, drank, and died of a medicine overdose. Because I was too small and timid to think singly and see past the superficial, my first impression was that her popularity was undeserved and over-valu ed.
